Jack of Spades
Today the Supreme Court of the United States made a landmark decision to allow gay marriage. Then again if you didn't know that... thanks for making Sweet Nothings the only website that you visited today. At any rate, here's my Sweet Nothing for it, as well as the SN for the Jack of Spades in the SN playing deck.

New American Paintings Issue 118, cover image by Tad Lauritzen Wright
Quick little news update amongst all the Sweet Nothings here. I just got my copy of the latest issue of New American Paintings. I'm fortunate to be in this issue for my larger works on panel, so, check 'em out. There's a lot of great work AND I got a little mention in the front matter from the Juror's Comments.
“Spencer’s dynamic, Day-Glo children’s-book-ready scenes that have taken disturbingly dysfunctional turns recall the often intensely psychodramatic nature of Hairy Who, yet in a style that feels more precisely appropriative of existing imagery.”

Bush 2016
Ol' Jeb Bush is throwing his hat in the ring today. I thought the slogan, Bush 2016 was just begging for some Sweet Nothings love. Why not make it more topical and wait for his announcement, right? So, I did. Here it is. Nothing particularly political about this image. As I'm an equal opportunity hater of most politicians. The political position of Sweet Nothings is to advocate for a strong natural hair growth down there and to condemn the general state of busybodyism. #libertarian #Bush2016 but not really.
Queen of Spades
Making some strides towards my Sweet Nothings playing card deck. Here's the King of Hearts.
Got a nice bump from Slorum.net, thanks for sharing and welcome to all you new peepers. This one was maybe better suited for a #throwback day since it's a shout out to a 30,000 year old fertility sculpture named the Venus of Willendorf. Oh well, maybe next time.
Goatse
OMG! We're already in the 6th month of Sweet Nothings! Who would have thought it'd make it this long??? Sure, the past couple of weeks have been light, but still plugging (no pun intended) away here and hope to have a good show at the end of the year. Now that the summer months are upon us I'd like to think I'll have more time to sit down and really think of some more... plus I still need to make the card deck with the various royalty, so I've at the very least got to keep this going for that. Thanks for checking-in.
With love-
Britt
